Chen Liang 梁晨

I am Professor of History at the Center for Republican History and Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Research at the School of History, Nanjing University. I was previously affiliated with Tsinghua University where I earned my PhD degree (2007); the Center for Chinese Studies, University of Michigan where I was a Postdoctoral Fellow (2007-2009); and the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, Harvard University where I was a Visiting Scholar (2016-2017).

My research interests include quantitative history, social history, and the history of higher education and academic employment in modern and contemporary China.  My publications include over twenty articles in such journals as 《中国社会科学》、《历史研究》、《社会学研究》、《近代史研究》as well as two books: Liang Chen, Zhang Hao, James Z. Lee et al., 2013, 《无声的革命 — 北京大学、苏州大学学生社会来源研究 1949-2002》, Beijing: Sanlian Press; and Liang Chen, 2020,《民国大学教职员工生活水平与社会结构研究：以清华为中心》, Beijing: Scientific Press.

梁晨，1979年2月出生，江苏邗江人，现任南京大学历史学院副院长暨中华民国史研究中心教授。2007年7月毕业于清华大学历史学系，历史学博士学位。2007年7月-2009年5月美国密歇根大学中国研究中心博士后。2016年8月-2017年7月哈佛大学费正清中国研究中心访问学者。主要研究方向为量化历史研究、社会历史学、近现代高等教育史及知识分子群体研究等。已在《中国社会科学》、《历史研究》、《社会学研究》、《近代史研究》等刊物发表学术论文20多篇，代表作《无声的革命——北京大学、苏州大学学生社会来源研究1952-2002》（梁晨、张浩、李中清等）2013年8月由北京三联书店出版，独著《民国大学教职员工生活水平与社会结构研究：以清华为中心》即将于2020年由科学出版社出版。
