Biography
Prof Pong received his PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1984. In 1991, he joined the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, where he is currently a Professor in Computer Science. He has served as Associate Dean of Engineering from 1999 to 2002 and Director of the Sino Software Research Institute at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from 1995 to 2000. Before joining The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, he was an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA. Prof Pong was a recipient of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Excellence in Teaching Innovation Award in 2001.

Biography
Toru Iiyoshi is Deputy Vice President for Education, and Director and a professor at the Center for the Promotion of Excellence in Higher Education of Kyoto University. He also serves as Executive Director of KyotoUx. Previously, he was a senior scholar and Director of the Knowledge Media Laboratory at the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and Senior Strategist in the Office of Educational Innovation and Technology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Iiyoshi has served as a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Technology and Education. He is a co-editor of the Carnegie Foundation book, “Opening Up Education: The Collective Advancement of Education through Open Technology, Open Content, and Open Knowledge” (MIT Press).

Biography
Professor Hanqin Qiu is a Professor of international tourism. She received her BA from Nankai University in Mainland China, her MA from University of Waterloo in Canada, and her PhD from University of Strathclyde in UK. She has been the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality and Tourism. She has published more than 80 refereed journal articles in the leading hospitality and tourism journals. Professor Qiu is also a regular speaker at international conferences and events. Currently she is the chairlady of learning and teaching committee at School of Hotel and Tourism Management in which she is leading the development of HKPolyUx MicroMasters Credential in International Hospitality Management. Professor Qiu has been actively involved in consulting and executive training programs.
Biography
Dr. Bennett Yu-Hsiang Fu is Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures at National Taiwan University. His interests of research encompass Asian North American Literature, Contemporary Canadian Anglophone and Francophone Literatures, and 20th-century American Literature. Over the past decade he has presented over 50 conference papers and published numerous essays in such areas as race/ethnicity studies, cultural translation, comparative literature, diaspora, indigeneity, and postcolonial studies. These critical essays have been published in 10 countries: USA, UK, Canada, China, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. He is the author of the book Transgressive Transcripts (New York/Amsterdam: Rodopi Press) published in 2012. Currently Dr. Fu serves as Deputy Vice President for International Affairs at National Taiwan University, where he oversees international collaborations, international students and mobility, and study abroad programs. He is also the English editor-in-chief of National Taiwan University Press (NTUP) for the Book Series on East-West Cultural Encounters in Literature & Cultural Studies. He sits on the editorial boards of several prestigious international academic journals in literary studies.

Biography
Wand Dong, Professor in hydrology and water resources, Deputy Director of Office of Academic Affairs of Nanjing University (NJU), assigned to take charge of education of innovation and entrepreneurship, practical teaching and educational affairs operation. He has instructed many undergraduate and graduate students, who have been awarded the National Scholarship, the National Outstanding Graduates in Hydraulic Engineering and the National Top Ten Star of Hydraulic Engineering, etc. And he has beenspecifically responsible for the successful applications and implementations of the projects for major and discipline construction, including the National Specialty, the national key construction discipline. He has also led the team to successfully declare and carry out the projects for undergraduate innovative talent cultivation (“985” Projects in NJU), and the teaching reform project “Flipped Classroom” (the first batch in NJU), etc. He has published 100+ papers (first author/corresponding author: SCI, 50+, including JGR, WRR, JOH, AWR), and has be editors in chief or participated in edition of 7 textbooks (of which 3 national planning textbooks), 5 monographs, and 7 authorized China invention patents as the first inventor. He has been elected to Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University (Ministry of Education) and won the grand prize of Lecture Competition of Young Teachers in Hydraulic Engineering Discipline in China, “Liu Guangwen” Young Science and Technology Award (Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society), the first class Science and Technology Progress Award of Ministry of Education (ranking 1 on the list).
