Biography
Trained in design, corporate communication and education, Thomas NG worked as designer, art director and head of creative in broadcasting company, advertising and PR agencies before joining HKUST. Serving as Director of PTC since 2005, Thomas has been promoting e-publishing and creative media on campus. In recent years, he actively participates in MOOC development. He helps build a MOOC production team, set up facilities and organize workshops for faculty and TAs to scale up MOOC in HKUST. He also serves as a design subject specialist for HKCAAVQ and a member of Printing and Publishing Training Board for VTC.

Biography
Prof Pong received his PhD in Computer Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1984. In 1991, he joined the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, where he is currently a Professor in Computer Science. He has served as Associate Dean of Engineering from 1999 to 2002 and Director of the Sino Software Research Institute at HKUST from 1995 to 2000. Before joining HKUST, he was an Associate Professor in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA. Prof Pong was a recipient of the HKUST Excellence in Teaching Innovation Award in 2001.
