The School of Humanities and Social Science (SHSS) at HKUST will be organising a Vegan Leather Workshop this August. We would like to invite current F.3 to F.5 students from your distinguished school to join this exclusive workshop. This interactive taster workshop offers a unique opportunity for students to learn about the intersection of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) knowledge, circular economy concepts, and fast fashion trends. As a bonus, event attendees will receive priority admission to our “ESG x STEAM Innovation Youth Leadership Program” in Fall 2026.
Workshop Highlights:
- Learning Session: Discover ESG topics and upcycling technology from transforming organic waste into vegan leather products
- SHSS Student Eco-Leader Sharing: Engage with our InnoTech Scholar 2026 (Sustainability & Green Technology), and his team to learn about their green entrepreneurship journey
- Exclusive Experience: Visit the newly established Food Technology Lab at HKUST
- Leather Crafting: Make your own unique vegan leather keychain
