HKUST Presents "Ode to Chinese Characters" Calligraphy Exhibition by Su Shishu

Prof. Ping Li, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), attended the opening ceremony of the“Ode to Chinese Characters” Su Shishu Calligraphy Exhibition and the associated donation agreement signing ceremony held on 1 August 2026. The event marked the launch of a landmark exhibition featuring 35 calligraphy works from the acclaimed Ode to Chinese Characters series donated by renowned Chinese calligraphy master Mr. Su Shishu to HKUST. Bringing together university leaders, cultural figures, and distinguished guests, the exhibition highlights the rich heritage and evolution of Chinese characters and calligraphy while promoting the preservation, appreciation, and exchange of Chinese culture. The exhibition is being held at the Lee Shau Kee Library from 1 August to 7 September 2026.
