To be eligible for the Humanities and Social Science Dean’s Award (for students admitted to HKUST in or before 2010) / the Humanities and Social Science Outstanding Performance (for students admitted to HKUST in or after 2011), the student must have

• completed the requirements for graduation, including all requirements for the Minor Program; and
• achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 or above (or 10.00 or above under the 12-pt scale) in all courses taken in completion of the requirements of the Minor Program and all of these courses must be taken at HKUST and in letter grade.

For students admitted to HKUST in or before 2010, they will receive a certificate of excellence from the School and their transcript will include the notation “Dean’s Award in Minor”.

For students admitted to HKUST in or after 2011, they will receive a certificate of excellence from the School.
