Admission Scholarship for Master of Global China Studies (MGCS) Program 

 

All successful applicants who are given admission offer to our MGCS Program will be automatically considered for assessment for the Admission Scholarship for MGCS Program up to HK$40,000. The MGCS Program Committee Members will evaluate the full profiles of the applicants, including their international exposure, academic performance and awards received during their undergraduate studies, their extra-curricular activities, the comments from their professors, their personal drive and attitude, their career potential etc. Admitted candidates are automatically considered for this scholarship and no additional application materials are required. We will notify admitted candidates their scholarship results when they get the admission offer.

HKUST-Waseda Double Degree Program (For Waseda University SPSE nominees only)

 

The program is in addition designed to enable advanced undergraduates from School of Political Science (SPSE) and Economics, Waseda University to take on the challenge of postgraduate study and receive both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Global China Studies normally within 4 to 5 years.  

By participating in this Double Degree Program, Waseda University students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a new culture and gain a global perspective that is highly valued in today's workforce.  The MGCS program particularly encourages elite talents to submit applications. Newly admitted applicants SPSE applicants from Waseda University will be guaranteed with: 

• Scholarship to cover one-year tuition fee in MGCS program  

• Off-campus housing subsidy for one year
